(AP) — Scientists say what appeared to be an earthquake in northeastern Nevada was actually a seismograph picking up waves from an earlier quake in the Arctic Ocean. A preliminary report from the U.S. Geological Survey said a magnitude-4.2 temblor centered about 18 miles west of North Fork shook Elko County at 3:07 a.m. Tuesday.

Interesting..
I expect an increase in the earthquakes very very soon. The "birth pangs" are getting more intense and closer together. I'm really surprised there hasn't been a big one hit the US lately. God must still have his hand on our country.
We should thank Him!! Because, as a country, we sure are trying to push God out!

I remember when the bridge fell in the Bay Area, CA. My husband was coming home from work and just missed getting caught in it. I'm so thankful to God.

I see a 5.4 hit Southern Alaska today. That's a pretty good sized one for that area.

As I recall, dad was home by the time the quake hit because he had already tuned the TV to the A's-Giants World Series, but he was at work having crossed that same bridge earlier in the day.

I recall it being a 6.8, but some reports had it as high as a 7.1.
